Associate Pastor for Youth and Discipleship—Brian Friedl

Pastor Brian Friedl grew up in a small town in southern Wisconsin and is the youngest of 3 brothers.  He started his faith journey while attending Young Life Club in 7th grade.  Though he began learning about who Jesus was, it was at camp in the summer between his freshmen and sophomore year that he placed his trust in Christ.  During his early twenties, Brian worked in multiple corporate roles ranging from clerical to executive leadership while concurrently serving in volunteer ministry roles with Young Life and his church.  He has continued to work with students and adults for over 32 years, including 5 years as an Associate/Youth Pastor in Humboldt, IA and 10 years as a Christian life coach.  Brian loves spending time with family, sharing the gospel and helping others understand their God-given wiring to carry out their mission as believers.

Brian married his wife Amanda in 1997 and they began their adoption journey shortly thereafter.  They now have 22 children, most of which are adults.  They have also been blessed with many grandchildren.  Amanda homeschools their 2 high school and 2 middle school children. She loves reading, canning, and giving gifts.  During the summer, it’s likely you find them spending time with family camping, fishing, and(or) grilling out.

Director of Hispanic Outreach—Isai Guererro

Pastor Isai Guererro grew up in Rio Bravo, Mexico and first trusted Jesus as a young boy. He has served as Director of Hispanic Outreach at Grace since the Fall of 2018 and continues as Senior Pastor of Centro Cristiano Vida Nueva Church in Belmond, Iowa where he has served since 2005. Pastor Isai received training for pastoral ministry at Magdiel Bible Institute in Matamoros, Mexico graduating in 2005.

Pastor Isai met his wife Claudia while preaching as a seminary student in the church where Claudia was working in youth ministry. Presently, Claudia works for the Belmond School District as an ELL teacher (English Language Learners). Isai and Claudia were married in 2006 and blessed with their son, Abdiel (Abdi) in 2016 and daughter Aisa in 2020. Abdi is a fun, loving little boy who enjoys helping mom and dad in the church (and dinosaurs!). Abdi and Aisa are answers to prayer and a testimony of God’s power. Isai and Claudia have a passion for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and serving the fast-growing Latino population of North Central Iowa.
